The 2012 Petron Safety And Fuel Economy Run

Very exciting. I just got word a few minutes ago that I made it to the official roster of participants in the 2012 Petron SAFE RUN

SAFERUN is a SAFE AND RESULT-ORIENTED event wherein motorcycle manufactures and enthusiasts can test the fuel efficiency, performance, durability and dependability of their motorcycles over a 2-day 750km run in actual traffic conditions, various terrain and weather conditions.

Officially it states 2 days but in reality you have to cover the 750 kms in 19 hours and 30 minutes due to the cut-off times.

First Leg is from Manila to Alaminos, Pangasinan. Day 2 is from Alaminos to Petron Kisad in Baguio City.

The main reason I joined this event is due to the fact that it tries to veer away from the usual “racing” events that we see, which we know are very dangerous.

Now I have to get me and bike ready in order to at least achieve a respectable placing. πŸ˜‰
